As a daughter of two immigrants from the Netherlands, I lived a somewhat stereotypical life filled with plants and gardens. From the age of 5, I began working with plants in our family greenhouse. It was here I learned the joy of growing flowers and vegetable plants and the importance each holds. After recently purchasing a 103-acre farm in South Dundas, I began looking into creating a more sustainable life that may support my family and our neighbours. Don’t worry! You do not need 103 acres to do this. In this session, participants will learn more about permaculture, garden shares and plant pairings and will leave with seedlings or a seed packet.
