This session will delve into our journey of establishing a ‘Research Café’ and fostering collaboration within the School of Nursing. Through an interactive review and discussion, participants will explore the “how-to" and lessons learned from our experiences in creating a research event to build capacity for research exploration and collaboration within our organization. Participants will also engage in open dialogue to share their experiences, insights, and best practices in creating a conducive environment for research within their respective disciplines. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to network and spark ideas with like-minded colleagues who are interested in initiating or expanding research initiatives within their areas of interest. By the end of the session, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing the establishment of a Research Café, including logistical considerations, stakeholder engagement, and strategies for fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. They will also acquire practical insights and actionable steps to initiate or enhance research endeavors within their departments, leveraging the lessons learned from our journey. *This scholarship is being shared in partial fulfilment of the requirements of the Contemporary Educator Program (CEP).
