Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The post-secondary work environment is one that is highly rewarding and highly demanding. Faculty have a deep devotion to provide instruction, support, and guidance to students who in many ways are trying to determine the trajectory of the rest of their life. In this session, we will discuss the importance of self-care and self-exploration through an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) lens, with a focus on Psychological Flexibility. We will provide a simple process for faculty to begin the exploration of their teaching practice and introduce a framework of psychological flexibility that may aid in their future approach to teaching and overall mental wellness while working in the college environment. In this session, participants will be exposed to a process to discover their own psychological flexibility and re-focus on values-driven practice in the classroom.
